Comments of past clients
Competition
in environmental consulting in the UK has never been
greater. As a result it is impossible to build a
significant client base without demonstrating the very
highest levels of expertise and providing a truly
exceptional service.
Following a
two day hearing relating to an appeal by the owner of a
garage against the service of an abatement notice by a
local authority relating to alleged nuisance from a car
wash facilities.
Following an
expert witness investigation on behalf of the Local
Government Ombudsman relating to statutory nuisance
from fume and noise, quote from Joan Brady*
(complainant):
Environmental Protection Act 1990 Part IIA (contaminated
land) investigation for Rushcliffe Borough Council.
This study was undertaken from receipt of complaint
through to enforcement, remediation and completion of
all statutory procedures, including notices, formal
paperwork and creation of the Council’s Contaminated
Land Register.
Three cases
for the Legal & General Property Fund relating to
planning and noise (BS4142 and PPG24)
The
London Borough of Enfield, Royal Small Arms Factory
Review Panel, was set up to hold an arms length inquiry
into risks and irregularities after a BBC Panorama
special on contaminated land highlighted an array of
potential problems associated with contamination at this
complex Ministry of Defence site. Over 1,300 domestic
properties were being built when I was appointed as sole
technical advisor to the Council, with the task of
reviewing a series of consultants reports carried out
over ten years. The Panel heard evidence from several
expert witnesses including the Head of Land Quality at
the Environment Agency and a team of leading
environmental consultants. |
